Over twenty years of building dreams: Meet Jeff Hunt and Jeff Hunt Construction
Hunt grew up in the construction business ever since he started working for his father’s company, already a well-known business in the Dallas area. Seeking to make his own mark, Hunt then set out to work for two of the country’s largest contractors and got involved in several high-end projects, including resorts, hospitals, and high schools.
In 1989, after adding an MBA to his B.S. Degree in Construction Science from Texas A&M, Hunt tried his hand at business and technology consulting, but the 2002 downturn in the technology arena coinciding with his fortieth birthday prompted a “return to his roots”. This time, he founded his own company and named it Jeff Hunt Construction, both in honor of his father’s memory and recognizing his part as a fourth-generation Texas A&M graduate, or “Aggie”, dating back to 1885.
Jeff Hunt Construction specializes in all aspects of the business, from designing a custom home or commercial structure to remodeling and renovations.
The company seeks to set itself apart by emphasizing the human touch they combine with the expertise, knowing the toll a major remodeling or construction project can have on a family’s daily life. “We strive every day to distinguish ourselves from other builders by ensuring our customers will only receive the highest quality of care and attention to detail in each of our projects”, as per their website.
Hunt also serves as construction technical advisor for Hope Disaster Recovery, a non-profit network of faith communities, businesses, and other organizations dedicated to helping under-resourced homeowners in Houston areas still recovering from 2017’s Hurricane Harvey.
